The Claude Leon Foundation

MOSAIC Training, Service and Healing Centre for Women is an organisation situated in Wynberg in the Western Cape, with a strong understanding of and expertise in the field of violence against women, domestic violence, sexual violence and sexual reproductive health. It is a community based, non-profit organisation (NPO) with a specific focus on preventing and reducing abuse and domestic violence, particularly for women and youth living in disadvantaged communities.
MOSAIC’s main objectives include increased availability and accessibility to high quality, integrated services for survivors of abuse and domestic violence. All its services are conducted in English, Afrikaans and Xhosa. Its main focus areas are:

Healing people by supporting them and empowering them to make their own decisions;
Restoring self-confidence, pride and self-respect;
Operating within a strict code of conduct with moral and humanitarian principles;
Recognising the important role of faith in the healing process while accepting all religious beliefs without bias; and
Maintaining strong support systems within the organisation and within communities.

Over the past 5 years the Claude Leon Foundation has supported the work of MOSAIC through its Court Support Programme.
